During the night, Moscow's aerial assaults have caused electricity outages in large parts of Ukraine's capital, Kyiv.

A number of civilians were wounded while local people in the city's east were experienced blackouts and faced problems to water supplies, according to local authorities.

At the same time, a young boy was killed in a different Russian drone strike in the Zaporizhzhia region in the country's south-east, as reported by local officials.

Russian forces has intensified strikes on electrical systems over the last fortnight, while officials has demanded "concrete actions" from international partners to apply pressure on Moscow.

"The necessity is not superficial actions but firm measures - from the US, Europe and the G7 - in supplying defensive weapons and implementing restrictions," mentioned in a public message.

Authorities reported that numerous aerial vehicles and more than 30 projectiles attacked Ukraine's energy infrastructure, labeling such assaults as "strategic and deliberate" and against "everything that sustains normal life" as temperatures become colder.

The energy minister said Russia was "launching a major assault" and maintenance teams were laboring to repair systems.

A series of attacks hit energy infrastructure and residential structures in the capital.

Several of the people hurt in the assaults on the city have been transported for medical care, as confirmed by municipal representatives.
