Loyal fans of the pop star are demanding that a man who leaped a fence and seized the performer during Thursday's Wicked: For Good debut be arrested or removed from Singapore.

A viral footage depicts the person identified as Johnson Wen pushing past media personnel and rushing toward Grande while the performers proceeded down a promenade accompanied by onlookers.

Co-star Cynthia Erivo quickly guided the stunned performer away from Mr Wen, who was observed being removed of the event by security officers.

Mr Wen posted on Instagram recently that he was "let go after being arrested", though court documents revealed that he was scheduled to be present on Friday morning. It is not clear if he was formally accused.

History of Disruptions

This is not an isolated incident for Mr Wen, who describes himself as a "Notorious Troublemaker", has disrupted a concert or event. His Instagram account contains videos of him disrupting other celebrity events, including rushing the platform at Katy Perry's Sydney concert in June this year and in a like fashion during The Chainsmokers event in the area last December.

"There needs to be action taken against him as this is obviously a criminal offence," wrote an Instagram user, in a response to a video Mr Wen uploaded of his behavior.

"You've done this repeatedly... how are you not behind bars?" one Instagram user wrote.

Followers Voice Worry Over the Star's Past Trauma

Many supporters accused Mr Wen for "causing further distress" Grande, who had spoken of suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder after a devastating incident at the finale of her 2017 show in Manchester, killing 22 people and wounding hundreds.

"Ariana has been through so many scary things... and at her Manchester concert and you thought it would be fun to jump the barricade?" said another response on Instagram.

Some supporters also faulted event staff at the premiere for not being vigilant enough; while different individuals demanded digital services to block Mr Wen's uploads.

Reaction and Event Details

In clips spreading on the internet, Grande looked surprised when she was touched by the individual. Her cast members Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be observed consoling her while Mr Wen was removed by staff.

Grande has remained silent on the situation, and the remaining proceedings carried on uninterrupted.

Many of attendees had assembled in a crowd of green and pink at the Wicked: For Good international premiere in a Singapore mall, including a number who had queued for as long as eight hours before it started.

The motion picture, to be launched on November 21, is the second of a dual adaptation of the well-known Broadway and West End production Wicked, which revolves around the unexpected friendship between two distinct sorceresses.

The production itself is a spin-off of the 1900 book The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who plays the benevolent sorceress Glinda, was adorned in a rosé sequin dress at the gathering while Erivo, who acts as the villainous character, wore a black tube gown featuring roses.

They were alongside cast member Jeff Goldblum.

The initial film, Wicked, was the most successful motion picture of the previous year in the UK, and received a dozen Oscar nominations, earning several for excellent wardrobe and set decoration.
