The Ideal Pokémon Legends: Z-A Super Form According to the Zodiac Sign
The return of Mega Evolutions in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has sparked immense enthusiasm within the fandom. From the one-by-one reveal of fresh additions before the title's launch, to trainers forming strong views on the entire lineup of Mega Evolutions, there's plenty for enthusiasts to look forward to.
With numerous of the Super Forms boasting distinctive appearances that emphasize their traits, one idea came to mind: What's the best way to connect this with astrology? This list is based on a blend of vibes, sign stereotypes, and individual observations.
Aries – Mega Camerupt
Honestly, Houndour's evolution was nearly chosen for this fire sign, as both are the Mega Pokémon and astrological sign that evoke the most fear. But, a Super Houndoom comes across as always angry, which isn't typical of the Ram's energy, renowned for being fun, light-hearted, and spontaneous. That's why Aries far more similar to Super Camerupt, which only erupts when angered. Remain on the good side of both and enjoy a powerful partner; if you cross them, be ready to get burned.
The Bull – Super Heracross
Similar to a devoted Bull, the reliable Heracross species, whether in its regular and Super Form, has assisted numerous trainers in Legends: Z-A. Though trustworthy, both the creature and a Taurus are still battle-oriented, and – whether it's their companion or a firm belief – will stand up for their position to the end. The thing about Mega Heracross that recalls most of my Taurus friends, however, is its unabashed love of snacks. Many previous Pokédex entries mention their craving for tasty tree sap and how it uses its horn to collect it everything, which is pure Bull-sign vibe.
Gemini – Mega Medicham
Look at this absolute queen. You cannot convince me this Pokémon is not the soul of every party, offering an endless fountain of chatter to those who wish to hear. Just like an enrapturing, gregarious Gemini, it's incredibly simple to envision Mega Medicham captivating an entire open area with their tales. Medicham’s Pokédex entry also states its ability to foresee an opponent's next moves, which sounds quite similar to a socially-savvy Gemini.
The Crab – Mega Manectric
Cancer is commonly regarded as the most emotional sign of the astrological wheel, a intense symbol famous for frequently getting wrapped up in their emotions. Per the Pokédex, Super Evolution charges the creature with a “tremendous quantity of energy, but it's too much for this Pokémon to fully control,” which sounds a lot like a classic Cancer emotional outburst. This Pokémon is also known for its capability to create a thundercloud over its own self – and if there’s one thing a Cancer is going to do, it’s rain on their good time.
The Lion – Mega Starmie
Oh, did you assume I was planning to pick Pyroar for the king of the stars? Besides the fact that it would be far too obvious, The Lion is obviously Mega Starmie, the diva whose gams just went viral for being extremely glamorous (or terrifying, depending on your taste). Fans couldn’t look away from the purple starfish, and that’s exactly the same vibe a Lion brings to the scene. This Pokémon is also rumored to be broadcasting radio waves from its center out into the cosmos, and it’s typical of a Lion to be staging a performance, albeit for extraterrestrials.
The Maiden – Super Victreebel
The ever-prepared and constantly-worried Virgo is perfectly encapsulated in Mega Victreebel, the Mega with perpetual digestive issues. The zodiac symbol known for being charmingly critical is clearly mirrored throughout this creature's whole evolutionary chain, from a perpetually surprised face like a Maiden when you tell them you lack a 401(k), to its upside-down face that’s similar to the emoji a Virgo posts to the group chat when everyone says they want to “be spontaneous” instead of making a strategy.
Libra – Super Audino
Look at this gentle, empathetic being, who employs the sensors on its auditory organs to tell how others are emotionally by their pulse. Always compassionate – sometimes to a detriment – and trying to keep the harmony, there are many Libras who would likely appreciate Super Audino's abilities. However, let’s be honest, it would probably just cause them to stress even more about others.
The Scorpion – Super Banette
Banette is a Pokémon with a unexpectedly tragic backstory: Discarded as a doll, it gained sentient through pure resentment and vowed retribution on its previous caretaker. Per the official info, Super Evolution, “increases its spitefulness.” That seems precisely like many conversations I’ve had with my intense Scorpio acquaintances. A Scorpion adores cosmic justice and comeuppance, making them the perfect pair with Super Banette.
Sagittarius – Mega Hawlucha
Each Mega Hawlucha and Archers are constantly putting on a performance. Being a Sagittarius personally, the amount of times I’ve called myself some version of a “playful small jester” is countless. The showiest and most attention-seeking Super Form, its Pokédex entry even mentions how it “flexes to display its power.” I would do the exact same thing if I had some kind of Mega evolved form, making Super Hawlucha the most fitting Sagittarius counterpart I can imagine.
The Goat – Super Absol
Were you aware that a Super Absol has the power to predict disasters ahead of time? That exudes the exact same energy as a Goat, who often consistently believe they’re correct. The thing is, similar to a prophetic Mega Absol, they often are. It’s also the very initial Super Form that trainers meet in Legends: Z-A – just like a Capricorn to get in on the beginning of the Super Form craze.
The Water Bearer – Super Chandelure
Aloof element Aquarius is arguably the non-flame sign that is most like a flame symbol – its sister sign is the Lion, and there are countless memes about the Archer and Water Bearer being unpredictable accomplices. Super Chandelure's double Ghost/Fire category matches perfectly with this, and the Super Form's general intimidating presence is also extremely Water Bearer. If you weren’t already convinced, the Mega’s Pokédex entry says it “draws in negative energy and converts it into power.” If that doesn’t exactly {encaps
