The Streaming Giant Casts Perfect Actor for Mr. 2 in One Piece Season 3

The Secret Organization is geared up to make a major impact in the next installment of Netflix’s show of One Piece, even if the major clash won’t take place until the third season, and a cherished, fan-favorite member has recently been selected.

Netflix announced recently that the skilled actor is now part of the One Piece season 3 cast and will embody Bon Clay. The role can use their power to change into an exact copy of any person they’ve laid a hand on with their main hand. The actor, who is non-binary and prefers they/them pronouns, will portray a rendition of that figure reinterpreted as non-binary, as opposed to as a drag performer, in the real-life adaptation, as in the original manga and animated series.

The new cast member joins several other recently announced actors set to bring the group to life, including leader Sir Crocodile, played by Joe Manganiello, a talented actress as Miss Goldenweek, and Sendhil Ramamurthy, who also joins the cast as the monarch of the desert kingdom.

Although the role is a key figure of the group, the persona won’t appear until One Piece season 3. Considering the second season expected to adapt the Little Garden arc, this marks a major departure in the placement of Bon Clay’s introduction, one that could indicate more adjustments to the plot development.

The actor’s combination of precise humor and emotional depth makes them a ideal selection for the part. Along with their recent voice performance in the animated feature Boys Go to Jupiter, they received high praise and several accolades for creating and performing in the popular theatrical show Oh Mary!, showcasing the range they’ll bring to one of One Piece’s most celebrated characters.

Netflix's live-action One Piece series is scheduled to come back for its next installment on the tenth of March, 2026.
