In a shared declaration, the heads of state of the Britain, France, and the Federal Republic of Germany asserted that this unified step would increase strain on Russian President Vladimir Putin and compel the Russian Federation to participate in talks.

They further noted that the initiative would be carried out in strong partnership with the America.

United Kingdom sanctions have frozen over £25bn of Russia's funds since Moscow began its widespread offensive against the Ukrainian nation in 2022. Yet, previously, funds provided to Ukraine using Russian holdings had exclusively been drawn from earnings and returns generated on them.

Sir Keir told President Volodymyr Zelensky that the United Kingdom, the French Republic, and Germany were in agreement in their desire to drive progress toward utilizing the total worth of the seized Russia's state funds to conclude the conflict.
