Three Athletes Shortlisted for Young Athlete of the Year Honour

English soccer star Michelle Agyemang, darts sensation Luke Littler and cricketer Davina Perrin have been shortlisted for the this year's Young Sports Star of the Year award.
The three finalists have been celebrated for their exceptional achievements over the last year.
Agyemang helped the Lionesses win Euro 2025, Littler claimed the world title for the maiden time, and Perrin surged to prominence with a unprecedented innings.
Littler was the recipient in 2024 after his breakthrough year.
The shortlisted athletes were announced live on a popular morning radio program.
The champion will be announced during a live broadcast on the prestigious sports ceremony show on Thursday, 18 December.
The ceremony will be broadcast from seven in the evening GMT.
The Football Star

Only 90 days after her senior team debut, Agyemang played a pivotal and thrilling role in England's run to European Championship victory.
She was introduced as a substitute to score crucial late equalisers in both the quarter-final and semi-final.
These match-saving moments led to her being named the best young player at the Euros.
Later in the year, she was awarded the prestigious Golden Girl honour for the finest emerging star on the continent.
She was also nominated for the Kopa Trophy for the planet's top young female footballer.
Agyemang, who has been playing for Brighton on loan from Arsenal, sustained a serious knee injury in October.
"Being nominated for this honour is incredible," said Agyemang. "Thank you to God and I'm thankful for the support I've received from my inner circle and supporters."
Littler's Profile
Age: 18 Sport: Darts
The year started for Littler in incredible form as - at just 17 years old - he became the earliest-ever winner in history.
He secured a dominant victory over Michael van Gerwen in the final.
His follow-up triumph at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth individual to complete the prestigious PDC Triple Crown.
His success continued - his win in November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he reached world number one for the maiden occasion.
At 18, he is the youngest man to do so, breaking the previous record.
"Being nominated for the honour once more is a massive accolade," stated Littler. "Winning last year was a highlight for me and I've had another incredible 12 months. I want to continue elevating darts."
Davina Perrin
Age: 19 Sport: Cricket
Perrin is one of English cricket's most exciting young talents and burst into the spotlight with an remarkable and historic innings in August.
Her brilliant 42-ball century in The Hundred is the fastest by an English woman in T20s.
It also stands as the shared third-fastest women's T20 century in a major league or full member T20 international.
Perrin finished second in the run-scoring charts and was named the Professional Cricketers' Association's top young women's player.
"I'm incredibly grateful to be nominated for the young athlete award," expressed Perrin. "It's a very special feeling. I hope it motivates more young women to get into cricket."
